Premier Six is also proud to be an official distributor of the SEA-Mate® Blending-on-Board (BOB) System which was originally developed by Maersk for use on A.P Moller-Maersk Group’s fleet of containerships.

The BOB System allows for the blending of the in-use system oil acting as a base oil, with a cylinder oil additive/high BN cylinder oil to produce a Fit-for-Purpose cylinder lubricant and facilitate the addition of new system oil into the engine sump.

With the BOB System on board, vessel operators can blend a customized cylinder oil with BN levels that match actual engine operating conditions and fuel Sulphur levels. The use of this system can reduce cylinder oil consumption and overcome common issues like cold corrosion as well as excessive cylinder liner wear. It can also mitigate issues arising from degraded system oil causing problems for the hydraulic control system in modern, electronic two-stroke engines.

The SEA-Mate® BOB system has obtained letters of no objection from MAN Diesel & Turbo as well as Winterthur Gas & Diesel (WinGD) engines and is suitable for use on all types of two-stroke engines.

High BN Cylinder Oil Additive

Premier Six’s in-house brand Opt-Max® have also developed our very own signature series,
the Opt-Max® BOB 300 which is a high BN cylinder oil additive that can be used with the BOB System and have even attained a letter of no objection from Winterthur Gas & Diesel (WinGD) / Warsila.
